Differences between Homeopathy and Allopathy

Homeopathy and Allopathy are two different ways of treatment. These two ways of treatment have other methods of treating diseases. To understand the difference between the two it is important to understand how they work and the factors that make them different from each other. Allopathy is the more common way of treating diseases where the symptoms of the disease are treated to treat the disease. Allopathy is considered modern medicine but it has its drawbacks too.

Homeopathy treats the cause of the disease by helping the body to build immunity to counter the disease. This is done by diluting substances that can treat the various causes of the disease. Homeopathic medicines are not known for attacking germs, but rather for boosting the immune system to fight the cause of the disease. Apart from toughening up the body’s immunity, homeopathic medicines can boost the patient’s psychological, emotional, and physical well-being, which is an essential part of the treatment.

Consultation

Consultation for homeopathy and allopathy are different too. Doctors who practice allopathy are licensed medical practitioners who prescribe drugs made by the pharmaceutical industry, meaning the drugs are machine-made with chemical compounds. Whereas homeopathic doctors use small doses of medication to strengthen the immune system of the patient that fight the ailment. In other words, an ill person is exposed to other similar diseases in a mild form, so that the immune system can build antibodies to fight the disease.

Treatment

Homeopathy and Allopathy have varying beliefs when it comes to the treatment of diseases. Allopathy believes in treating illnesses with drugs and surgery, while homeopathy counters the disease by acting on improving the body’s response to the disease itself. Homeopathy is considered completely different from allopathy as it acts on the principle, what caused the problem is also the solution to the problem. Homeopathy uses a diluted form of substances to help the body recover by developing resistance. The major difference between allopathy and homeopathy is that allopathy only focuses on the affected organs which can increase the risk of infection whereas homeopathy aims to treat the whole body resulting in a risk-free treatment.

Allopathy acts faster because of the high concentration but it can have side effects and infections that can lead to further complications.

Conclusion

Allopathy follows scientific experimentation and discovery to base the treatment on but it has certain drawbacks too as the medicine can have a high concentration leading to certain side effects whereas in homeopathy the concentration of the medicine is low making it less risky.
